- Support Quite an unusual perspective. --SHB2000 (talk) 06:45, 8 May 2024 (UTC)

- Oppose Sorry, but I don't get it. The wheel may be interesting, but it is only a small part and too dark, and the rest is a blurry background. Yann (talk) 09:26, 9 May 2024 (UTC)
- Oppose Per Yann. --Sebring12Hrs (talk) 11:37, 9 May 2024 (UTC)
- Weak oppose I agree, but a nice light, though Poco a poco (talk) 13:26, 9 May 2024 (UTC)

- Neutral I have been going back and forth on this but I am not sure the composition really works. It feels like the wheel is a bit of an afterthought, placed at the edge of the frame. I think it would have worked better with more wheel and less OOF background Cmao20 (talk) 19:58, 9 May 2024 (UTC)
- Oppose The blurry background covers too much of the picture, while the wheel only covers a portion too small for my liking. --WildMouse76 (talk) 14:38, 10 May 2024 (UTC)
- Moral support A very interesting and unusual composition, probably too unusual for us. It reminds me of some paintings which show a person looking at a distant landscape or town; in these paintings the nominal subject is that distant object, but they emphasize the person in order to allow the viewers to identify themselves with that person; so in some regard the real subject is the contemplation of the person who looks at that distant object (example). I vaguely remember some photographs which use the same approach, but combine it with a key feature of photography (the interplay of sharp and unsharp) by putting the focus on the person and throwing the landscape/town out of focus, still keeping it recognizable. Now in this photograph the wheel plays the role of the front person; the standing wheel seems to contemplate the great past and presence of that big industrial area. I guess my explanation is lengthy and unclear, but on these lines the composition actually works for me. – Aristeas (talk) 19:47, 10 May 2024 (UTC)
- Many thanks for the detailed, yet rather unusual review. I think it's very positive that my intention for the photo is clear. --XRay 💬 19:51, 10 May 2024 (UTC)
- Oppose Won't work for me. I cannot tell what the content is, Daftation (talk) 19:49, 10 May 2024 (UTC)
- Oppose Composition and black subject don't work for me. Sorry -- Basile Morin (talk) 04:16, 11 May 2024 (UTC)
- Oppose Nothing spectacular. Wolverine XI 17:26, 14 May 2024 (UTC)
