Description

Two U.S. Navy Douglas A-4C Skyhawk (BuNo 149557, 149583) from Attack Squadron 144 (VA-144) "Roadrunners" in flight. VA-144 was assigned to Carrier Air Group 14 (CVG-14) aboard the aircraft carrier USS Constellation (CVA-64) for a deployment to the Western Pacific from 21 February to 10 September 1963.

149557 was later shot down by a SA-2 missile over North Vietnam on 9 February 1966 while still in service with VA-144. 149583 was later converted to an A-4L and retired to the MASDC as 3A0455 on 7 December 1975. It was then sold to Malaysia for conversion to an A-4PTM/TA-4PTM.
