Description
Deutsch: Kegelhütiger Knollenblätterpilz (Amanita virosa), ein tödlich giftiger Pilz, fotografiert bei Oberschleißheim.
Achtung: Dieser Pilz ist doch kein Schafchampignon (Agaricus arvensis), wie zunächst fälschlicherweise angenommen. Die rein weißen Lamellen auch in älteren Exemplaren sind ein distinktives Merkmal für A. virosa.
English: Destroying Angel (Amanita virosa), a deadly poisonous mushroom, photographed in Oberschleißheim, Germany.
Note: This mushroom was originally misidentified as the edible Horse Mushroom (Agaricus arvensis), which it is clearly not: the bright white gills even in mature specimens are an easily recognizable feature of A. virosa.
