Description
Deutsch: Attisch-weißgrundige Lekythos des Sabouroff-Malers (Zuschreibung durch Ernst Buschor). In der Mitte des Bildes steht Hermes, rechts davon ein Jüngling in zinnoberroten Himation und links steht Charon in seinem gelben Bott, sich auf die Ruderstange stützend, er trägt eine Fellmütze und eine rote Exomis, die ungewöhnlich gut erhalten ist; auf der Henkelseite Reste der Schilfdarstellung. Um 450/40 v. Chr., gefunden angeblich in Attika, Höhe 31,3cm. In Athen für die Antikensammlung Berlin (Altes Museum), Inventarnummer F 2455; CVA Deutschland 62/Berlin 8, Tafel 16+17; ARV 266,8; ARV 2 561,110; Para 423; Addenda 1 145; Addenda 2 297.
English: Attic white-ground Lekythos by the Sabouroff Painter (attributed by Ernst Buschor). In the center stands Hermes, on the left a young man in red Himation, to the left Charon in a yellow boat, wearing a red Exomis; on the handle site remains of painted reed. About 450/40 BC., 31,3cm high, said to be found in Attica. Purchased for the Antikensammlung Berlin (Altes Museum) in Athens, Invnr. F 2455; CVA Germany 62/Berlin 8, Tafel 16+17; ARV 266,8; ARV 2 561,110; Para 423; Addenda 1 145; Addenda 2 297.
