Description
500px provided description: Shrines are Christian places of worship with a crucifix and figures of saints. Small shrines on the wayside are part of the religious tradition in South Tyrol. They are called "Bildst?ckl" and consist in most cases of a massive stone construction with shingled roof. The stone has a niche, which is mostly decorated with frescoes.
