SO great has been the demand for the new departurebell in vertical form the manufactures have de-cided to make both styles and the illustrationshows it in the new type. By this form the bell isadapted to any location on a car and occupies less spaceever before while preserving all the good qualities whichhave made it so phenominal a success. the Short Electric Railway Works, but as well of theefficiency of the type selected. The order is to be de-livered as soon as the work can go through the shops, andwill go into service immediately on delivery. The Citizens Line in Pittsburg have been disposingof their street car horses, and have sold upwards of 200head, obtaining from $17.00 to $50.00 a horse.

ONE of the most important and significant ordersof the month, is that of the Minneapolis StreetRailway Company, for 120 twenty-horse-power,.^hort Gearless motors, being the equipment for sixtycars for that city. That so well known a careful and progressive man-ager as President Lowry should place an order for solarge a number and specify the Gearless, not only is ahigh compliment to the character of the motors built at A SUIT before Judge Blodgett, of the District Court,has been watched with considerable interest bymany people, particularly by Chas. Lieb, whosought an injunction restraining the Electric MerchandiseCompany, from the manufacture and sale of bondingwire and bolts.
