ΜΑΧΑΙ ΑΡΓΟΥΣ ΚΟΡΙΝΘΟΥ (ΚΑΙ ΚΑΤΑΣΤΡΟΦΗ ΤΟΥ ΔΡΑΜΑΛΗ).

1. Η Κόρινθος, από την οποίαν απερνά ο Δράμαλης µε είκοσι χιλιάδες επάνω, όχι κάτω: και ἐμβήκεν εις τον κάμπον του Άργους καὶ Ναυπλίας και από Ναύπλιον έστρεψεν εἰς Άργος, καὶ εσυγκροτήθη εις Άργος. Η µάχη µε τους εκεί ευρεθέντας Έλληνας, Θ. Κολοκοτρώνην, Νικήταν, Υψηλάντην, Χατσή Χρήστον, Κολιόπουλον, Γιατράκον, Στάικον, Φλεσέους, Χελιώτην, Ν. Σταματελόπουλον, Τσοκρέους, Οικονοµέους, Πάνον, Κακάνην, Νεζέους, Νταγρέν, Γιουρούκηδες, Κρεββατάν, Αγαλλόπουλον, Ν. Λάµπρον, Ν. Κρανιδιώτην, Σταµάτην, Κόλιαν, Κώνσταν Σουλιώτην, Χατσήν, Δ. Ζωγράφον και λοιπούς συναγωνιστάς. Ενικήθησαν οι Έλληνες, και εσκοτώθησαν πλήν πολλά ολίγοι, ὠσαύτως και εκ των Τούρκων. - 2. Εντός τής Ακροπόλεως του Άργους εκλείσθησαν τότε ο Υψηλάντης και ο υιός του Κολοκοτρώνη, και του Πετρόμπεη, και άλλοι τριακόσιοι και πολεμήσαντες µερικάς ημέρας, έφυγον διά νυκτός. Μετά παρέλευσιν καιρού εδιαλύθη το στράτευµα των Τούρκων, και θέλοντες ν᾿ απεράσουν από την θέσιν των Δερβενακίων, (3) την οποίαν είχαν προκαταλάβη ο Νικήτας και οι λοιποί οπλαρχηγοί, επροξένησαν τήν µεγίστην εκείνην φθοράν εις τους Τούρκους. -- 4. Αι γυναίκες έφερον νερόν να πίνουν οἱ πολεμισταί. -- 5. Χωρία Άργους. - 6. Ναύπλιον µε το Παλαμήδι.
