Notification about possible deletion

[edit]
Some contents have been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether they should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at their entry.

If you created these pages, please note that the fact that they have been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with them, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!

@Sarvagyana guru: Hello. It's OK, I'm not trying to blame anyone for it, I just corrected an error. The cars in the image are post Second World War models, compare them to the image below, which shows what a 1912 FIAT looked like. Thomas.W talk 11:46, 31 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Germanic dialects

[edit]
File:Germanic expansion.gif

Hello, I noticed the dispute regarding the Germanic dialects map, and I'd like to note that user AKAKIOS' map is relatively accurate (it tries to reconcile some differences between other versions. Please see a similar map related to Germanic settlements to the right, and notice the 'uninhabited' ares and a lack of settlements on the other side of the Rhine and in north-eastern Poland. I think this is actually more accurate then the over simplified and over extended borders which are presented in the original map. --E-960 (talk) 20:31, 5 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! Why do you mark this image as PD, while the source states it’s CC-BY? --2A02:2168:1237:FF00:214A:A6CA:AF10:8A24 08:29, 6 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Because it's what the page at "Digitalt Museum" said when I uploaded the image (plus a large number of other images from the same source) here six years ago. Their requirements for "Public Domain" then were the same as what is required by CC-BY now, though, i.e. proper credits plus a link to the page at "Digitalt Museum", so there's no practical difference. Are you going to report him on Wikimedia he’s still going at it about that fucking picture [[User:ARMcgrath|A.R.M.]] (talk) 17:41, 20 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@ARMcgrath: For cross-wiki abuse, you mean? IMHO it hasn't reached that level yet... Thomas.W talk 17:43, 20 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Thomas.W: he’s been blocked on Wikipedia for 31 hours (which should be longer but whatever) and some admin needs to block him here as he is continuing to remove those notices. [[User:ARMcgrath|A.R.M.]] (talk) 17:46, 20 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

He's already been reported on two noticeboards here, so there's nothing more we can do... Thomas.W talk 17:49, 20 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
