Description GB Railfreight class 66/7 (JT42CWR) number 66744 named "Crossrail" (previously numbered 66408 and then 66843) in GB Railfreights blue and mustard yellow livery hauling empty gypsum containers mounted on 18 GBRf FEA single intermodal flat wagons from Mountfield Sidings (Gbrf) East Sussex (British Gypsum's Robertsbridge Works) to West Burton Power station (4E19) having just passed through Petts Wood railway station on 14 March 2014. To comply with gas emission regulations limestone (CaCO3) delivered to the power station (by other trains) is used to remove sulfur dioxide (SO2) from the flue gasses (desulfurisation), by converting it into gypsum (CaSO4·2H2O). The waste product (gypsum) is then delivered by train to British Gypsum's Robertsbridge Works where it is used to manufacture plaster and plasterboard for Greater London and the South East of England. 66843 was built by General Motors Electro-Motive Division, London, Ontario, Canada in 2003 and unloaded from a Heavy Lift Ship at Newport Docks.
