Description
Nederlands: Het Brabants trekpaard hoort net zo bij de Belgische landbouwgeschiedenis als de Mechelse gewenten bij de groentestreek. Meer nog, de fameuze Mechelse voorjaarsgroenten danken hun bestaan aan die twee. En in het zomerland van 't Grom komen ze opnieuw samen. Meer weten over levend erfgoed in ons museum, klink op de link.

De gewenten of verhoogde groentebedden in de museumtuinen worden net als vanouds met paard en ploeg klaar gelegd voor het nieuwe plant- en zaaigoed. Noem het 'zomerland rijden' gerust het ballet van het betere ploegwerk. Met heel veel precisie leggen man en paard de grond mooi in scheuten, sneeën, dammen en voren.
