Excursion by round-trip boat of the Royal Insitute of Dutch Engineers to the Zuiderzee works in Wieringen. - arrival by steam round-trip boat at a dike and going ashore of the engineers, 41"; - overview shot of the construction of the dike, 21"; - several shots of stoneworkers at work, the basalt blocks are put into place by hand, 38"; - several shots of a steam excavator with chain lockers that smoothens the slope of the dike, 51".
