Thanks for uploading Image:WarsawCenter.jpg. I notice the image page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the media on Wikimedia Commons (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page. If the content is a derivative of a copyrighted work, you need to supply the names and a licence of the original authors as well.

If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag, then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use {{self|cc-by-sa-2.5}} to release it under the Creative Commons or {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain. See Commons:Copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have uploaded other media, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find all your uploads using the Gallery tool. Thank you. Musiałem usunąć twoje grafiki z tej strony, gdyż są one udostępnione na licencji, która jest niezgodna z polityką Commons, gdyż nie zezwala na ich komercyjne wykorzystanie (spójrz tu). MesserWoland Dyskusja 15:37, 27 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Unsourced images

[edit]

Sorry for the flood. These images all need sources; "Access Denied from flickr" does not tell us who took them. We need to be able to check the images just in case :)

As for the other images, they are not all licensed as cc-by-1.0 - actually, the 1.0 license is not an option on flickr and all images are under the 2.0 license. The very first image uploaded today with an author name ("gallmese") , here, is licensed as CC-BY-NC-SA 2.0 here. If you look at the bottom right-hand corner under "Additional Information" you will see the symbols which are for CC-NC-BY. As the flickr upload page says, that license is not okay for Commons. Most of the images you have uploaded are under NC () or ND () which are not allowable here.

Also, please make sure to link to the page directly and not just to the author. You also need to add {{Flickrreview}} to the images so an administrator can review your uploads to make sure they are okay and the license is correct.

Thank you for understanding :) -- Editor at Largetalk 23:09, 30 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Quick question: could you provide a link to the account mentioned on some images "Made by "soylentreen2" from Flickr" ? I can't seem to find the person... Thanks in advance! :) -- Editor at Largetalk 02:24, 31 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Witaj, mam prośbę - jeśli kategoryzujesz obrazki, to pamiętaj, by dopisywać im tylko najbardziej precyzyjne kategorie.

Guide for uploading images from FlickR

[edit]
  1. Please check the license before uploading --> has to be CC-BY / CC-BY-SA
  2. Give explicit information on the copyright status:
    • Creator, link back to FlickR
    • Exact source of image, link back to FlickR
    • License, has to be the exact same one
  3. Include the template {{Flickrreview}}, so the status can be verified by an admin later
  4. So ideally you have a image page that looks like Image:2007PolskaRyne.jpg.

Hope this helps. By the way, this is just a restatement of information, not saying anything new here. NielsF talk/overleg/discussion/discussione 23:05, 11 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The tool Siebrand mentioned above, User:Flominator/Flinfo makes this easier. NielsF talk/overleg/discussion/discussione 23:15, 11 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The message above is the last one I leave standing. More messages have been deleted, but it is pointless to leave them for you. You should check ALL YOUR UPLOADS as almost all of them (at least 750) have been tagged for missing source information. Multiple fellow users have tried to give you advice on this page. I suggest to read everything very carefully and start fixing things before all your uploads are deleted. Please be advised that you will be blocked for a substantial period of time if you start uploading hundreds of images again with incomplete information. Cheers! Sources and Licenses

[edit]

When you transfer images from the Polish Wikipedia, please make sure that you do give a link back to the image at the Polish Wikipedia, and that you use the same license that was used originally. See Image:Bielany from Tyniec.jpg for an example of what I mean. That image was licensed CC-BY-2.5 by KHRoN, but you had tagged it GFDL-self. I've also added the link to the image at the Polish Wikipedia. There is a general {{Self}} tag that can be used for any license. Lupo 13:45, 22 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

For images transferred from Flickr: see Image:2007PolskaJagiełło.jpg for a correct example.

  • Please upload the highest possible resolution. There is a 1024×768 pixel version at [1]
  • Please use the {{Flickr}} tag. Please do not fill in the "reviewer" parameter.

HTH, Lupo 13:54, 22 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You should also put {{Flickrreview}} on the page, or use the correct flickr upload form and license selection from the dropdown box which will add the license and this tag as well. MECUtalk 20:00, 28 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
