Un couple de diplomates - génération de 1925 - fidèles serviteurs de leur peuple en Amérique, Asie et Europe. Lui, jeune fantassin et sous-officier de la campagne de Russie 1943 à 1945, trois fois blessé, prisonnier de guerre, épargné mais exilé et dépossédé de la Saxe. Et elle, son épouse et collaboratrice uniques, jeune infirmière de la croix rouge 1944/1945. Désirant rendre un dernier hommage à la compréhension mutuelle franco-allemande ont choisi de revivre leur amour ici pour la paix, la liberté et pour Paris où ils vécurent la meilleure part de leur vie
