This should be renamed to CMP Class Z 2300. CMP (Compagnie du chemin de fer métropolitain de Paris) was the forerunner of the RATP, the company which last ran the the trains. Smiley.toerist (talk) 09:01, 12 July 2011 (UTC)

- Hmmm... I don't think that rolling stock has ever been used by SNCF, so yeah, a correct category name would be 'CMP Class Z 23000'. Elfix (talk) 13:20, 14 July 2011 (UTC)
- Part of this stock was owned by CMP/RATP and another by PO/SNCF up to 1964, when the south section (from Massy - Palaiseau to Saint-Rémy-les-Chevreuse) was transferred from SNCF to RATP: see Parc Z au 1er septembre 2003. Croquant (talk) 13:59, 14 July 2011 (UTC)

- From the french wiki I gather that the Z 23000 where designed bij PO compagny (pre-SNCF) and transferred to the CMP (Paris metro) in 1937 for the Massy - Luxembourg line. The paris metro organisation had at that time no experience with suburban railways, only metro's and trams. So technicaly it should be PO Class Z 23000, only we dont use any pre-SNCF classification. I think it is best to keep the name as it is, but to put a explanatory note by the class. Smiley.toerist (talk) 09:52, 28 July 2011 (UTC)
