File description[edit]

To complete the file descriptions, I did an attempt at [1]. What do you think of it? @Yann and Zacharie Grossen: Enhancing999 (talk) 12:46, 5 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

OK, fine. Yann (talk) 13:44, 5 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Additionally, maybe the grid details too: [2]. Ideally calculated in a template and linking like other coordinates, not as text. I could just add a template with the sheet number and maybe we can sort it out later. Enhancing999 (talk) 07:30, 6 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you both for your work on the Swisstopo maps. I'm more than fine with the file description and the map table in Maps of Switzerland is absolutely awesome! I'll give a closer look when I'm less busy. Glad to see that the 1:300'000 map has just been promoted (despite some imperfections). That will give more visibility to the work of Swisstopo on Wikimedia, and I think it really deserves it. Zach (Talk) 14:41, 6 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Numbering[edit]

At File:Topo 25 sheets orig.jpg, I noticed it uses "bis" numbers for 3 sheets in the east. Should we have redirects for the numbers or rename the files? Other than these, we seem to have files for all sheets except 1334.

Also, comparing with that map, I found we have two sheets that aren't on it. I noted them in the file description. Besides these, 1136 with FL/AT seems to be the only sheet not featuring any Swiss territory.

I added a few templates making use of the files at Category:Swisstopo templates.

Thanks for uploading the files. Excellent work! Enhancing999 (talk) 19:49, 5 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
