Municipalities in Huesca without any photo.

[edit]

Thank you for your pictures of places in Huesca province! We're trying to get photographs of every single municipality in Spain and there are 73 of them in Huesca province that still don't have any at all. You can find a list of all of them on this list. If you happen to have more pictures about Northern Aragon (or in fact about any other place in Spain) they are not only welcome but very much needed. Thanks a lot! File:Location GreatLakes-Africa.png has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!

Incomplete deletion requests

[edit]

Hi En rouge, I have no idea why you are tagging me in edits, but both Commons:Deletion requests/File:Bandera Saint Malo.png and Commons:Deletion requests/File:Bandera Saint Malo.png are very incomplete deletion requests. Please update them why you think these two files are copyright violations. I would appreciate it if in the future instead of tagging me in, you just filled out the deletion requests completely. 2020 PANGO Mutation prevalence across lineages-en.svg

[edit]

Hi, could you make an update for this image? I think, this should be the right link: https://outbreak.info/compare-lineages?pango=Delta&pango=Alpha&pango=Beta&pango=Gamma&pango=Eta&pango=Iota&pango=Kappa&pango=Lambda&pango=Mu&gene=S&threshold=75&dark=true Thank you very much! --Treck08 (talk) 03:31, 5 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Treck08,
thanks for your proposal, and your built-in url ; please see
you're welcome,
yours, En rouge (talk) 02:20, 8 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Great, thank you very much! You'll find it in „SARS-CoV-2“ in german. --Treck08 (talk) 09:46, 8 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

SVG - SARS-CoV-2 Omicron (B.1.1.529) variant.svg

[edit]

Thank you! Now I've deleted the categories of two PNG-Files (BA.1 & BA.2). The last PNG-File ist used by more than twelve countries, but they will see the SVG, if they look into "Category:SARS-CoV-2 Lineage B.1.1.529". --Treck08 (talk) 11:21, 1 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Treck08: Hi
1) Sorry, but in your comment above, please give some links, as it is better to find out your subject, your object of the observation. I need to go to the page of your contributions, to locate the object of your comments. But this is not a real issue.
2) I don't know if it's better to remove png file from the category. Because within the category, this can lead to find the svg file, and other related files...
3) Never mind BA.2 image to be in png format in the foreign pages. Essential work is done: svg file is documented in the png one, and svg file is member of the appropriate category.
4) Sorry (again), but for your image's contributions as png files, some can be done as svg uploads !
Yes, that means some workout, but this is better than getting duplicate files (png & svg), or have only png (lower resolution) images.
Often, rather than doing a screen copy, I go to the source of the html code, to get the svg code (or even the original png or jpg file, rather than a copy).
It's how I get svg files of your equivalent png ones.
5) Sorry (again, again) for my late response...
I hope this can help...
Yours, En rouge (talk) 20:41, 22 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Could you take a look at [1] for BA.2.75? The background of the “.PNG” is light grey, and should be white as at the “.SVG”. Thank you! Yours, --Treck08 (talk) 12:20, 20 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Now it's already done. Maybe you would like to take a look. Yours, --Treck08 (talk) 13:06, 21 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Explanation of the term edit conflict

[edit]
Wiktionary logo.
Look up “edit conflict” in
Wiktionary, the free dictionary.

Hi, En rouge, and thanks for all your help at the Graphics lab illustration workshop! Based on this edit, I think you may have misunderstood what the indicator {{ec}} means. The 'edit conflict' tag {{ec}} that I added in this edit does not mean disagreement, it's a technical tag used in discussion forums, and has to do with informing other editors about the possibility of issues resulting from simultaneous editing updates. The 'ec' stands for edit conflict, which is a technical term coming from computing, and has nothing to do with editorial disagreement among humans, but rather with the inability of a software program to update a file that is being accessed by two people at the same time, who are both trying to save their version. The software cannot decide how to merge the "save" that comes in second, and what to do with the content being saved; this results in an edit conflict by the software program, and the user is notified that they must resolve the problem manually, as the program cannot. You can find an explanation of the term in English at Help:Edit conflict, or in French at Aide:Conflit de versions. Thanks, Mathglot (talk) 22:21, 15 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading File:PNG Test.png. I notice that the file page either doesn't contain enough information about the license or it contains contradictory information about the license, so the copyright status is unclear.

If you created this file yourself, then you must provide a valid copyright tag. For example, you can tag it with {{self|GFDL|cc-by-sa-all}} to release it under the multi-license GFDL plus Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike All-version license or you can tag it with {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain. (See Commons:Copyright tags for the full list of license tags that you can use.)

If you did not create the file yourself or if it is a derivative of another work that is possibly subject to copyright protection, then you must specify where you found it (e.g. usually a link to the web page where you got it), you must provide proof that it has a license that is acceptable for Commons (e.g. usually a link to the terms of use for content from that page), and you must add an appropriate license tag. If you did not create the file yourself and the specific source and license information is not available on the web, you must obtain permission through the VRT system and follow the procedure described there.

Note that any unsourced or improperly licensed files will be deleted one week after they have been marked as lacking proper information, as described in criteria for deletion. If you have uploaded other files, please confirm that you have provided the proper information for those files, too. If you have any questions about licenses please ask at Commons:Village pump/Copyright or see our help pages. Thank you.

Please, see file File:PNG Test.png history.
I, and other users you contacted, are not involved in Copyright status.
As you can see in this history, the initial image was created on 2017-03-06, by User:MagentaGreen, from File:Ansel Adams and camera.jpg (CC0).
Moreover the image in this page has to to be overloaded, again and again, as it's a Test image.
So in itself, it doesn't have a copyright, except when reverted to the initial image (CC0 derived).
Please, stop boring, users without a more in depth sighting.
Yours, En rouge (talk) 20:20, 4 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
