Your uploads[edit]

Hi Jojit,

You may notice that I added some templates and categories to your uploads.

Permission needed for:

It is clear from the description that you are not the photographer, but someone involved in the competition. In the Philippines, as in the United States, the photographer has automatic copyright for the photographs. The person that made each poster (who I assume is also the photographer) maintains a distinct copyright to the derivative work, provided it does not infringe on the original copyright. Therefore, these posters might even have two copyrights. To be on Commons, each author (photographer and poster creator) needs to give explicit permission as noted in the posts above. Otherwise, it is, or at least has to be assumed to be, copyright infringement.

The Haz talk 15:26, 18 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I know about this. I am now in the process of contacting them. During the competition, members of Wikimedia Philippines served as judges for the contest. Unfortunately, the contestants were not present during the competition. They were supposed to upload those pictures on their own user account. The organizers said verbally that it is okay that I upload these images to Commons and release it on under CC-BY-SA 3.0. I know that this will cause problems but I uploaded it anyway because I don't want to waste the effort of the organizers and students and their willingness to distribute free content. Nevertheless, I will abide by the rules here. If their reply is more than seven days and their entries are deleted, I will just re-upload it and follow the OTRS process. Next time, I will require the organizers to compel the authors to create their own Commons account and they will upload their creations on their own. --Jojit fb (talk) 01:46, 19 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Sounds like a plan. And, the organizers should have known that explicit permission would be required. The Haz talk 06:10, 21 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, next time I will tell them that. Anyway, I already forwarded their email to permissions-commons@wikimedia.org and hopefully their works stay in Commons. --Jojit fb (talk) 04:56, 23 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I am glad that all of those files are now OTRS confirmed and contributions of those STI students were not put into waste. :-) --Jojit (talk) 08:27, 31 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

A barnstar for you![edit]

The Original Barnstar
A Charismatic community barn-star, creating Tinapa which I uploaded emanating from Masantol Market. User:Jojit fb/gallery, N.B., regarding Palo and Leyte Cathedral, our Vincentian was its Bishop Teotimo Pacis DD in 1967; and I was back in 1998 Good Friday 12 noon at San Juanico Bridge; on Nueva Caceres, I lectured for 10 minutes to its Arch. Leonardo Z. Legaspi, 1st UST Rector, as I recruited his brother Atty. Domingo to the Valenzuela Seminary with us there, wih Gregorio Lapus Banaga my classmate; before his fatalistic surgery and asked me for miracle but I denied his last wish; his parents were close to us in Meycauayan, Bulacan; on AUF Angeles, I lectured for 20 minutes to Paciano Aniceto, D.D. on the date of installation of Florentino Lavarias at San Fernando Seminary and at the Cathedral; in Lipa Cathedral as I photograph its sanctuary the Mediatrix of All Graces appeared to the lady assistant of its Rector, but when I take photos of the Lipa City Hall my classmate Meynard Sabile the Mayor was not there, and Batangas Colllege has there, my Ateneo professor Nani Perez, who is now the top Orchid grower; in Santa Cruz, Laguna, the Green Roses were seen and the perfume burst but I could not take photos of these; In UP Diliman I met CJ Narvasa and Serafin Cuevas our speaker in the 1982 Jurisprudence lectures, for which reasons I placed 12th in the 1983 Bar Exams where Taxation put me on top amid UP Valedictorian Napoleon Poblador failing to be in the top 20; Ateneo de Naga, there, my classmate Manny Gaite; I saw the Mahal na Ina of Penafrancia in the procession; Your photos and uploads made me recreate memories of the past, but Time and Space do not constrict My Existence; I just came across your edit here of Tinapa; Tinapa is a Code of the Universe, Cosmos and Eternitas, inside in my profile Photo, which I single as the best in my more than 540,000 photos here in Commons; Sincerely--Judgefloro 19:24, 25 February 2016 (UTC) Judgefloro 18:57, 25 February 2016 (UTC)--Judgefloro 18:58, 25 February 2016 (UTC) (talk)
Thanks, @Judgefloro: . Wow, you have contributed so many photos here in Commons. That's awesome. By the way, I noticed that you wrote a letter to the IPO regarding Freedom of Panaroma (FOP). For your information, we (Wikimedia Philippines and Asaf Bartov of the Wikimedia Foundation) went to IPO office last 2011 and met Director Blancaflor but after the meeting, we weren't able to request for an opinion regarding the matter. Good to know that you sought the opinion of the IPO. May I know the results of your request? During our meeting, IPO said that the Philippine IP law is silent about FOP. --Jojit (talk) 05:30, 29 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I sat for 2 semesters in special class under Prof. Hernando Perez, in Ateneo Class 1983 both in Insurance and Criminal Procedure, where daily I met my classmates siblings Yulos, and at that time, Blancaflor was engaged to my classmate Yulo, but I did not meet Blancaflor who was in Higher years; I am puzzled on this matter of marriage relationship which remained a whisper for the Rich and Famous who would not talk about their secret relationships, hence I did not come back to talk to Blancaflor; I was just passing IPO Rockwell at that time, hence I filed a Letter and took pictures now uploaded thereat; I talked to his staff lawyer, but you know, I do not follow up things and I do not believe in these government opinions; actually the DOJ has the ultimate opinion on the matter but these are treated as secondary authority like the CA Decisions; and in Our Ateneo days, I do not consider the IPO Director as authoritative on this, for reason that many do have positions, and speak a lot, but they do not obey the law; it is the duty of his IPO Office to issue the opinion but did he ... I was editing Tinapa smoked fish in Masantol, Pampanga when I noticed that there is now such a created Category and when I saw your Page, I got interested in your Catholic ministry at Diocese of Pasig where I consecrated your Parish to the Queen of the Holy Trinity when I uploaded the Church Photos here in Commons; I do ponder that your are Religious, and do take a look at my hundreds of Commons on the National Consecration of June 8 in Paco Dilao Church by Chito Tagle, that was 11:34 am, where I talked to his Driver, after Noticing that the Cardinal who is Summa Cum Laude has or had the 2 Seraphs they call Duendes beside him, but I did not go to him, since I noticed that his power diminished later as Fr. Suarez lost all his when the Seraph of Barangay Botong San Luis, Batangas left him as I did order when I met Suarez in the photography of my alma mater St. Vincent's Seminary of Tandang Sora; deep in my heart, is the photography of School children in the Philippines, here in Commons; and you notice that of 30,000 students I uploaded, I never took a single picture of rich children, for in my Divinity called here, Mystic Theology by the Ateneo and UST departments, Moments where there is nothing but God; hence, there is a marriage between Science and Creation, the Heavens, see the Picture of the Day, here in Commons; if you read between my Coded lines, here, you will know in your heart, what both Information Technology and Science failed and fail to to since it was noted that God limits the intelligence of man but His utter weakness is, He did not measure and even permitted the Stupidity of men, hence this Big Bang; does one still have Faith in Science, Physics and Quantum the Collider .... the essential is invible to the eye.. I discussed this in my extra-terrestial photography of Tarlac where the aliens spread virus annihilating the gamefowls or chickens, but and there is one priest there who is one of a kind, the founder of Radio Maria a Commons Category, Fr. Melvin Castro of Paombong, Bulacan... I lectured to him in Magaspac, Gerona Church the only one with driver thru made by a UST Architect Priest, Vide my photos; in Spes, I desire by way of Theology of Invitation, that you may comprehend my encrypted Thank you..... and why I contributed more than and donated to the public domain 540,000 plus photos only to Commons ... very sincerely...--Judgefloro 15:54, 29 February 2016 (UTC) (talk)
