Welcome!

Hello, and welcome to Wikimedia Commons. Thank you for your contributions.

Currently, you are editing without a username. You can continue to do so, as you are not required to log in to Commons to read and edit articles; however, logging in will result in a username being shown instead of your IP address (yours is 24.168.39.49). Logging in does not require any personal details, and there are many other benefits for logging in.

When you edit pages:

  • Please respect others' copyrights; do not copy and paste the contents from webpages directly.
  • If you are testing, please use the Sandbox to do so.
  • Do not add unreasonable contents into any galleries, such as copyrighted text, advertisement messages, and text that is not related to an article's subject. Adding such content or editing articles maliciously is considered vandalism.

Also feel free to ask a question on my Talk page. I will answer your questions as far as I can! Thank you again for contributing to the Commons.   — Jeff G. (talk|contribs) 16:33, 31 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

català  čeština  Deutsch  English  español  français  galego  magyar  Nederlands  português  polski  suomi  svenska  Türkçe  македонски  русский  українська  മലയാളം  日本語  中文(简体)  עברית  +/− It is important to keep a cool head, especially when responding to comments against you or your edits. Personal attacks and disruptive comments only escalate a situation; please keep calm and remember that action can be taken against other parties if necessary. Attacking another user back can only satisfy trolls or anger contributors and leads to general bad feeling. Please try to remain civil with your comments. Thanks!

Also, please remember to tap your Caps Lock key if all of your typing comes out in UPPER CASE. Thanks again!   — Jeff G. (talk|contribs) 16:33, 31 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It not your stupid business! Do not write here anything. Your remarks and lectures are not interesting to me. Are you torn to be an admin? The preceding unsigned comment was added by 24.168.39.49 (talk • contribs) at 19:13, 31 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove deletion tags on images. If you would like to contest deletion you are free to bring up the subject with the user who placed the tag or on the talk page, but please do NOT remove the template or replace it with comments. Thank you. -- Editor at Largetalk 19:39, 17 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

As I said, please bring this up with the user who placed the tag, on their talk page, and please discuss it civilly! If you can explain clearly why it isn't covered by copyright and why the image is free please do so; we need links to pages which demonstrate this or licenses that state as much. Jeff G may be able to explain why he placed the tag, if you inquire. You have been blocked for 2 hours for persisting in removing the deletion tag, but are free to return and reply after this time is up; if you continue to edit please do not remove the deletion template from the image again without first discussing it, or you may be blocked for a longer period of time. Thank you. -- Editor at Largetalk 19:46, 17 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
What law, exactly?   — Jeff G. (talk|contribs) 23:00, 17 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • THAT IS The American and Russian Laws!
  1. Soviet Union and that government does not exist from 1991 -- is not existing any more.
  2. Soviet Union hadn't any copyright for it & Never had (as is 3D-works).
  3. Any artwork of gov., communist or comsomol parties as you see here didn't being copyrighted in USSR.
  4. This is Pogrebnoj-Alexandroff personal artwork and his copyright of his artworks and/or the his photos. You have no census badge here!!! You can see Pogrebnoj-Alexandroff photo of same badge only! In that case you have no right to show a photo of buildings, cookware, a foodstuff in firm packages etc. All of that staff have the authors.
  5. All Pogrebnoj-Alexandroff artworks & the photos contributed by author for a virtual "Wiki" only & can't be printed or use for any ather progects.
  6. You should to know the Copyright Law of ather countries too but not only of an USA Law.
  7. If you do not like Pogrebnoj-Alexandroff works or be jealous, remove all that has been loaded and he leave of this place, -- as he told before. He never cry and will not run to anybody to complain, as it is done constantly by many of you.

Please do not remove deletion requests

Please do not remove deletion request tags from images before an administrator has closed the debate. If you do not agree that the image should be deleted, you can express your opinion on the deletion request page. You can find this page via a link in the deletion request tag or at Commons:Deletion requests. Thank you.

After your block time is up please feel free to return and discuss the situation. You have been asked several times to stop removing the deletion template from the page without coming to a conclusion with others about the copyright status of the image, and would appreciate it if you would follow this suggestion. When you return tomorrow perhaps you could replace the speedy tag with a normal deletion request, so others can weigh in on the situation as well.

Please note that by reverting your removal of the tag on the image I am not saying either you or Jeff G. are wrong; the issue should just have been dealt with more rationally than revert warring for days. I appreciate your patience and understanding. -- Editor at Largetalk 11:22, 18 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • Ну вы и дебилы безграмотные! Чем больше с вами связываешься, тем больше это начинаешь понимать. Точно уж "песочница детского сада". The preceding unsigned comment was added by 24.168.39.49 (talk • contribs) at 12:26, 16 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
That appears to translate via babelfish as follows:

Well you and morons are illiterate! The more with you you are connected, the more this you begin to understand. Accurately already the "sandbox of kindergarten".

In other words, more incivility. Why am I not surprised?   — Jeff G. (talk|contribs) 10:14, 17 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Then please assist us by placing it in English - your behaviour is be watched and I am concerned that you are unable to be more co-operative. Wikis are based on people being able to accept the basic rules and work together. I would ask you to consider this please --Herby talk thyme 13:28, 17 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Проект международный, вот и учите русский язык тоже. Вы же, якобы, знаете советское и российское законодательство удаляя чужие фотоработы, а тут язык в жопу засунули. The preceding unsigned comment was added by 24.168.39.49 (talk • contribs) at 16:33, 19 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Translation:
English: Project international, you here and teach the Russian language also. You, allegedly, you know Soviet and Russian legislation moving away strange photographic works, and language into zhopu here pushed.
I do not teach the Russian language; I know very few words in that language, and only in verbal or transliterated form; I do not know Cyrillic at all. I sometimes attempt to translate that language here using the automated Babel Fish Translation tool at AltaVista because you refuse to post in the common language of Commons, which as you know is English. If that tool provides incorrect translations, please translate correctly yourself. Thank you.   — Jeff G. (talk|contribs) 19:01, 19 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Translation incorrect. "study" itself, but not "teach" others - it was written. The preceding unsigned comment was added by 24.168.39.49 (talk • contribs) at 06:26, 20 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
