ফন্ট

[edit]

যদি SVG ছবি object to path না করেন, তবে সেগুলিতে Noto Sans Bengali ফন্ট ব্যবহার করিয়েন। অন্য ফন্ট মিডিয়াউইকি রেন্ডার করতে পারে না। --আফতাবুজ্জামান (talk) 22:54, 3 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Wiki Loves Monuments 2022 in Bangladesh

[edit]

Hi Aishik Rehman, For your information: On the list of countries, WLM in Bangladesh was scheduled to run in September. As on your landing page you indicated to have WLM in October, I changed it everywhere to be in October. Romaine (talk) 18:07, 31 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Lingualibre.org

[edit]

Hello Aishik,
I suspect this is due to long term cookies. Would be interesting to push a clean up for your connection cookies for Lingualibre, it will log you out, then come back here. On firefox.

Open about:preferences#privacy > Go to "Cookies and Site Data"> Click "Manage Data" > Search "Lingualibre" > Remove selected.

With some exploration you may be able to find similar solution for Chrome, Chromium, Edge or Safari. Mobile browsers should be a bit tricker but possible as well. Good luck ! Yug (talk) 21:10, 2 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Didn't work ? Yug (talk) 15:55, 5 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Yug: No, it didn't. I have tried all possible solutions. :( Aishik Rehman (talk) 16:03, 5 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
We fully relly on Commons' login, so I don't know where the issue comes from. As a junior dev, I don't have the skills to investigate further. But we have plans to drop Lingualibre.org's media wiki and to rely more on Commons directly in 2023. I may solve your issue. If it's ok for you, you can wait until then before to seriously records words on Lingualibre. Yug (talk) 18:29, 5 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Aishik Rehman, you're now a filemover. When moving files please respect the following advice:

  • Use the CommonsDelinker link in the {{Rename}} template to order a bot to replace all ocurrences of the old title with the new one. Or, if there was no rename-request, please use the Move & Replace-tab.
  • Please leave a redirect behind unless you have a valid reason not to do so. Other projects, including those using InstantCommons, might be using the file even though they don't show up in the global usage. Deleting the redirects would break their file references. Please see this section of the file rename guideline for more information.
  • Please know and follow the file rename guidelines.

Rename request

[edit]

What is the rationale for refusing the rename request? How exactly does it not meet the requirements? GPinkerton (talk) 15:18, 23 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Could you please check in at Commons:Village_pump#File_move_requests_refused, where I had pinged you? While GPinkerton originally did a poor job of explaining the reason he wanted this move, he's now explained, and I'm 99% confident that he was, in fact correct. You were the declining filemover, and I don't want to override your decision without hearing from you. - Jmabel ! talk 17:12, 24 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Copying t-units

[edit]

Hi @Aishik Rehman: Not sure what made you manually assign t-unit markers on Commons:Wiki Loves Folklore 2023 in Bangladesh. Perhaps you copied the bulk of content from elsewhere and just fixed some specific details. T-units are assigned by the Translate Extension and you should make sure that while copying content from a page in translation to some other page, you remove the t-unit markers. I have prepared and marked the page for translation and it is ready to be translated. Best and thanks for your contributions, ─ The Aafī (talk) 12:07, 17 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Read this message in your language

Dear Wikimedian,

Wikimedia Commons is happy to announce that the 2022 Picture of the Year competition is now open. This year will be the seventeenth edition of the annual Wikimedia Commons photo competition, which recognizes exceptional contributions by users on Wikimedia Commons. Wikimedia users are invited to vote for their favorite images featured on Commons during the last year (2022) to produce a single Picture of the Year.

Hundreds of images that have been rated Featured Pictures by the international Wikimedia Commons community in the past year are all entered in this competition. These images include professional animal and plant shots, breathtaking panoramas and skylines, restorations of historical images, photographs portraying the world's best architecture, impressive human portraits, and so much more.

For your convenience, we have sorted the images into topical categories. Two rounds of voting will be held: In the first round, you may vote for as many images as you like. The top 30 overall and the two most popular images in each category will continue to the final. In the final round, you may vote for just three images to become the Picture of the Year.

Round 1 will end on UTC.

Thanks,
the Wikimedia Commons Picture of the Year committee

Hi @Aishik Rehman, noticed it too late. I have marked it for translation. Let me know if I missed anything. Best regards, ─ The Aafī (talk) 12:40, 18 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

File:Aishik Rehman at 19.jpg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!
