Your changes to the Category:Roman villa of Russi

[edit]

Hello! About your category name change from Category:Roman villa of Russi to Category:Mosaics of the Roman villa of Russi, I wanted to mention that I believe there is a value in keeping a category for the actual building, as this is the one that should be connected with Wikidata. The category Mosaics in... only makes sense if the object where they are is an actual data item. The issue indeed is that - besides the mosaics floors - not so much else remains from the building. I would suggest perhaps to keep both, with Category "Mosaics..." as a sub of the one about the actual villa, which should be the one connected to the wikidata object. What do you think? PLEASE STOP NONSENSE DELETIONS !

[edit]

Hi Eponymous-Archon. Please stop nonsense deletion of categories ! Why do you delete Category:Eumachia building (Pompeii) from the Category:Statue of Eumachia in Pompeii (copy)? This copy of the statue of Eumachia is located in the Eumachia building in Pompeii (how the pictures shows) ! The original of the statue is in the Archaeological Museum in Naples.
Why do you delete Category:Piazza di Porta Maggiore (Rome) from the Category:Porta Maggiore (Rome) - interior ? You say that "The piazza is not the porta"... i know that. But in all categories of squares there are the subcats of the buildings that are to show in that square (churches, palaces, monuments, etc.) Or we say that Saint Peter's square is not the Saint Peter's Basilica, nor the obelisk, nor the fountains, etc. and delete all these subcats? All this is nonsense. So plese stop to delete this category, because on Piazza di Porta Maggiore all people can see the interior facade of Porta Maggiore ! So, please, stop this nonsense deletions ! Thank you. Best regards, --DenghiùComm (talk) 17:21, 20 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

First, please don’t yell.
Second, one at a time. If category A belongs to category B, then anything in category A should NOT be in category B, because it is already by belonging to category A. That’s the case for the statue of Eumachia. Eponymous-Archon (talk) 18:06, 20 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Eumachia is the name of the priestess who built the "Building of Eumachia". And inside this building is the statue that shows her. Nothing else to add. This is reality. All the rest are speculations and mental constructions that make no sense. DenghiùComm (talk) 18:16, 20 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Great. What does that have to do with this issue? Eponymous-Archon (talk) 18:47, 20 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Regarding the Piazza issue, fine. Leave it under Piazza Porta Maggiore as well. - Eponymous-Archon (talk) 19:16, 20 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
