Colonial Africa 1913 map

The legend of File:Colonial Africa 1913 map.svg is trying to convey which colonial powers controlled which parts of Africa at the time. Three-letter country codes are used for the benefit of those who know them. The country names are translations of those 3-letter codes. So identifying "DEU" as the "German colonial empire", for example, is just plain wrong: "DEU" is "Germany", who controlled parts of Africa as part of their "colonial empire". I can see some utility in linking to relevant articles on each country's colonialization actvities in Africa, but providing such links for the dozens of other languages being used on that page is a daunting undertaking.
