Warning sign
This media may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:EyeoftheTiger-SvH1.jpg. I notice the image page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the media on Wikimedia Commons (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page. If the content is a derivative of a copyrighted work, you need to supply the names and a licence of the original authors as well.

If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag, then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use {{self|cc-by-sa-2.5}} to release it under the Creative Commons or {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain. See Commons:Copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have uploaded other media, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find all your uploads using the Gallery tool. Thank you. :-([edit]

Licenses[edit]

  •  Comment Ok, nice photo. I have seen it right after you uploaded it. I did not nominate it because of the blurry house in the background and your wrong licensing information. Can you change at least the information to "use with attribution"? GFDL means we can use your picture for commercial things. --SvonHalenbach 12:40, 14 January 2007 (UTC)
    •  Comment Speaking about licensing informations, I haven't read them all - and I'm kinda lost in all the licenses - could you point me the right license to use ? I'm ok if images are used in wikipedia, but otherwise only for non-commercial or educational use. Thanks. --Atoma 13:45, 14 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • CC-By-SA and GFDL are both licenses that allow use of your material for money earning purposes. If you don't want that, then you may not whant to upload here. If you whant to give something but don't whant to be ripped off your best pictures you can do as some of the other contributors. They upload just low resolution (downsampled) versions of their work and write on their site that when professional publisher whant to use a higher resolution version for printing purposes they can ask, make a contract and get a high res photo. That prevents nobody to use the low res version for (small) commercial prints with atribution of your name. Because attribution is here the absolute minimum when you don't use PD as license. I am no lawyer, so for specific questions you should read the license text yourself or ask (and pay) a lawyer. Greetings --SvonHalenbach 14:32, 14 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Well for FP images need to be in pretty good resolution, so I'm gonna leave them anyways. I don't make a living out of my photos (not yet! hehe), and I don't think either that anyone could make a fortune by selling them :) (at least that's what I hope lol) --Atoma 15:15, 15 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Notre Dame[edit]

Notre Dame

Glad you liked my pictures, I'm just moving on from amateur to serious-amateur (just got my first DSLR a couple of months ago), so hope I'll produce more great photos from now on. On what the Notre Dame picture is concerned, the published version has suffered only a tilt in Photoshop (2 degrees to the left), so this may have introduced some light blur. However, yesterday I've looked at the original version and it's not that sharp either. I think I was slightly out-of-focus... the kit lens seems ok, other photos turned out just fine... next time I'm gonna go out for night photos I'm gonna do what you said and pay some attention to the final quality of the images. Greetings ! --Atoma 15:18, 15 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

File:Grande Arche de La Défense et fontaine.jpg

Hello, you have supported to the promotion of the image Image:Grande Arche de La Défense et fontaine.jpg to the Featured Picture status, and I thank you for that. Currently this image has been proposed to deletion by another user under the pretext that there is no FOP in France.

I believe that the image is not a copyright infringement; the main subject is the water from the fountain, the Grand Arche is unavoidable in the background. In what the lightning of the fountain is concerned, as user Arad mentioned in the original nomination, they are very simple and they do not have a special plan, so they cannot be copyrighted.

If you wish you can express your opinion on this issue on the deletion request page of this image, otherwise the image could disappear soon; the usage check indicates that the image is already used in around 150 pages around internation wikis (usage check), it would be a pity for the community to see a FP image disappear.

Thanks and best regards, --Atoma 17:01, 21 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Amicalement - Marc ROUSSEL - --Markus3 (talk) 14:48, 22 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I am sorry, but i understand no french. Please upload only photos, which are usable. Blurry pictures are not useable here. --SvonHalenbach (talk) 14:51, 22 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Marc - --Markus3 (talk) 15:36, 22 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Na, mir soll es egal sein. Mach was Du willst.
- Marc - --Markus3 (talk) 17:01, 22 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

File:Moon and clouds Openfootage720x406x15fps.ogv has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!

(Not entirely certain of what you intended for this, especially as you seem to have been welcomed, involved and "rewarded" for your commons involvement.) -- Queeg (talk) 20:59, 13 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
