These two files are not identical so {{Duplicate}} and {{Delete}} is not the way to go. You should ask for a merger of files to the Administrators with File:Claudette 2021 track.png as the final name and File:03L 2021 track.png left as a redirection. Ohio 15th special election map[edit]

Hi, @AveryTheComrade: can you make a svg map of the primary results by county for the Ohio special election, please? Putitonamap98 (talk)

done AveryTheComrade (talk) 04:38, 17 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hey thanks, btw where do you get the congressional svg files from? Putitonamap98 (talk)

How did you get the results for the NE and OH special elections?[edit]

I was thinking of making these maps too, but i dont know where the data comes from. Please let me know. Thanks! WeaponizingArchitecture (talk) 15:05, 2 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Base county maps either come from the Standardized_SVG_county_maps_of_US_states image set, or the Census Bureau's county shapefile, clipped to whatever district is necessary. Election data is from Secretaries of State websites. AveryTheComrade (talk) 09:29, 4 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

2022 CA State Senate map[edit]

Hello, thank you for adding the updated map, could you change SD36 (R-Nguyen) to a Republican gain? It is a new district created. VietPride10 (talk) 01:38, 9 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you! VietPride10 (talk) 05:46, 9 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, actually you had it right the first time and should revert it back to the original, while it's a new district created, a Republican won it and the district was previously held by a Republican, so it would actually be a hold rather then a gain cause if you count how many of each party there are now, it's 33 Dems and 7 Republicans, compared to 31 Dems and 9 Republicans, cause they held all there seats (Hurtado won by 20 votes) and gained two. Thank you for the Michigan Map[edit]

Hello. I wanted to thank you for the Michigan State House map you recently put on the 2022 state house election article. I've made most of the articles for the Michigan state house districts, and now that you've made a new map, I've edited your map and uploaded updated images for each of the Michigan state house districts. Michigan House Election Map[edit]

For your file File:2022_Michigan_House_of_Representatives_election.svg, how do you decide what a flip is on a completely redistricted map? I've never been quite sure how wiki treats this. Criticalthinker (talk) 13:14, 2 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Count the amount of either party in each county on the old and new maps, if it's increased then look for either the district that shares the fewest similarities with any district on the old map and mark it as a gain; or look for the district that shares the most similarities with a district on the old map but was won by the opposite party. There's no real science to it, I just try to make the gains on the map match up with the numerical gains. AveryTheComrade (talk) 21:45, 2 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Alaska 2022 map[edit]

Hello. Great job getting the map of Alaska by census borough. Would mind if I slightly resize and rotate it to match previous years, to make it easier to flip through the years? Milfil (talk) 05:01, 5 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Actually never mind, I see that you aligned it with the other 2022 maps. Milfil (talk) 05:02, 5 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

How did you make the 2022 Michigan House of Representatives Map?[edit]

Hello, amazing job on that map, just wanted to get an insight on how you did that? I'm interested in making something similar for the Michigan Senate 2022 elections that shows the holds and gains unlike the current maps uploaded to that page Whatman28 (talk) 22:18, 13 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Color consensus[edit]

I just saw that you changed the color scheme on my Virginia special map, I see why you'd want to use the currently approved scheme instead of the proposal. However, the proposed scheme is already used on hundreds of house county maps and is used on some new statewide election maps. The general concensus is that the new colors are signifigantly better than the current downballot scheme (which sucks). I think it's time to call a vote on the colors, do you know the best way to go about that? Gordfather69 (talk) 01:37, 22 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

(talk page stalker) @Gordfather69: I am working on an RfC for the new colors, but we probably shouldn't switch over before then. Elli (talk) 02:34, 22 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah that's the kind of thing I was thinking of as well. The proposed colors would replace both the presidential and downballot schemes right? Gordfather69 (talk) 06:46, 22 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Florence County[edit]

Hey, I checked the WI SoS Website and you're right, it's only 69.97% - not 70%. My bad about that Alexcs114 (talk) 02:47, 6 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Autopatrol given[edit]

Hello. I just wanted to let you know that I have granted autopatrol rights to your account; the reason for this is that I believe you are sufficiently trustworthy and experienced to have your contributions automatically marked as "reviewed". This has no effect on your editing, it is simply intended to make it easier for users that are monitoring Recent changes or Recent uploads to find unproductive edits amidst the productive ones like yours. In addition, the Flickr upload feature and an increased number of batch-uploads in UploadWizard, uploading of freely licensed MP3 files, overwriting files uploaded by others and an increased limit for page renames per minute are now available to you. Thank you. GPSLeo (talk) 07:21, 29 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
